We’re not in Kansas anymore.

Wait—actually, we are. Why? Well, Complex has partnered up with Samsung on a new program called the Samsung Level Music Lab, which is touring some of the country’s top universities to bring immersive music labs to their students. Inspired by Samsung’s high quality line of Level headphones, the Samsung Level Music Labs will provide aspiring young musicians with mentorship and advice from some of the top acts in the business, as well as hands-on access to premium Samsung equipment that will help them more effectively create the music they want.

First up was the University of Kansas, where the boys from The Chainsmokers, Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, surprised one very shocked, very grateful student while he was working in the studio. The two shared some producing tips with him in regards to the track he was working on, before going on to address a crowded lecture hall full of other KU students. With the help of Samsung, Taggart and Paul transformed the hall into an immersive music lab, taking the students present through what their music creation process entails.

The whole experience was pretty incredible, and it’s just the first stop along the Samsung Level Music Lab tour. You can check out a video featuring The Chainsmokers’ KU trip above, and follow along with the series on the Samsung LEVEL Music Lab. Be sure to check back for more videos featuring future stops on the Level Music Lab tour, presented by Samsung.
