Singer-songwriter Jacob Banks delivers a new video today, opening up the story to "Monster" with an impressive cinematic-style promo. Jacob told Complex he and his team "weren't supposed to be in the car park where it was shot" and that he "felt like a grime MC, which was always a dream" of his. "The video was shot in one take," he adds, "so there was a lot of organisation." A slightly more uptempo affair, the Show-N-Prove-produced track remains pegged with Jacob's instantly recognisable soul vocal—trading his rich, deep tones across tribal chanting and rhythmic drum patterns. Making way for upcoming man-of-the-moment Avelino to drop a verse of mind-pausing wordplay, it's a killer combination of nu-school style and soul.
