Sia Brings Artful Performances of "Alive" and "Bird Set Free" to 'Saturday Night Live'

This marked Sia's third appearance on 'Saturday Night Live,' the last of which involved a Kanye West song that still hasn't been released.

Forget Donald Trump. The best thing about this weekend's Saturday Night Live had absolutely nothing to do with the 2016 presidential election circus. Sia, as is so often the case when she graces TV with a performance, was (by far) the best thing. In addition to giving This Is Acting cut "Alive" the proper performance art treatment, Sia also delivered an undeniably moving rendition of the cerebral anthem "Bird Set Free," a fitting flagship for almost every creative move Sia has ever made:

When we last saw Sia gracing the SNL stage, she was poised alongside Vic Mensa to bring Kanye West's "Wolves" to life for the iconic show's 40th anniversary special. Many months (and a new Sia album) later, the CDQ of "Wolves" still remains merely a dream shared by many, but realized by few none.

This Is Acting is set to land on Jan. 29 of next year.
