Among the winners at this week's MOBO Awards, Shakka took home the gong for Best R&B/Soul and celebrates with the drop of his brand new EP The Lost Boys. A concept EP, of sorts, it takes the listener to a dystopian future where dreams, colour, and women are non-existent; men are controlled by a daily serum, living in fear of an omnipresent governmental force that presides over London's remaining bleak metropolis. Pretty heavy stuff, but fear not—the resulting music from said ideas are a concise mixture of accessible pop-soul with conceptual excerpts sprinkled throughout for good measure. The Lost Boys is out on iTunes today. Stream it in full below.
