UPDATE 8:45 PM: Killer Mike took the stage at Sanders' rally tonight, invoking Martin Luther King, Jr. in a passionate call for equality. "I'm not here to talk about a dream that we think is unattainable so we settle for less," he declared.

"I am here as a proponent for political revolution... I am here because working-class and poor people deserve a chance at economic freedom," Mike continued. He went on to declare that he truly believes Sanders would be the right choice to lead our country forward, and encouraged supporters to stay the course in supporting him. He concluded by referencing his song "Untitled" as the senator walked on stage. Watch his fiery speech below.

Killer Mike is no stranger to politics. Earlier this year, the rapper publicly endorsed presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders for the job. If you don't remember, Mike tweeted support for Bernie's stance on the Voting Right Act over the summer. Earlier this year, he also live tweeted the White House Corrrespondents' Dinner, lectured at MIT, and also made an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher to discuss current issues. He even tried to enter the political arena himself and run for office in Georgia but was not allowed.

Today, Mike took the Democratic nominee out to lunch in his hometown of Atlanta, Ga. In a series of tweets, Mike revealed that he brought him to "Busy Bee on MLK." The two reportedly were dining together before Sanders' rally in town later today where Mike will introduce him to the crowd. Check out the pictures of their meal together below.
