In the wake of Friday's tragic terrorist attacks in Paris, many previously scheduled shows and tours were understandably postponed or canceled outright. Coldplay, who were originally scheduled to broadcast their show at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles via Tidal this weekend, decided instead to perform a decidedly stripped-down set full of some rarely performed tracks from their catalog. In addition to rare takes on their own "Sparks" and "Us Against the World," Coldplay also performed an emotional cover of John Lennon's 1971 song "Imagine."

The peace-promoting classic, an international anthem since its release decades ago, was also performed by an anonymous pianist near the Bataclan theatre in Paris on Saturday, the site of the hostage situation which took place during an Eagles of Death Metal concert:

Peace for Paris.
