Though it would appear a lot of people have been pretty busy wishing Drake a happy birthday over on Meek Mill's Instagram, a very different kind of birthday is being celebrated simultaneously: the one-year anniversary of the critically acclaimedRun the Jewels 2. Killer Mike and El-P marked the occasion by releasing a video for "Angel Duster," comprised of tour footage directed and edited by Ryosuke Tanzawa. "1 year ago today [El-P] and I dropped #RTJ2," Killer Mike wrote on Instagram. "A year later and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down! Thank y’all so much for supporting! We are gonna make sure #RTJ holds the standard and more!"

The album, a relentless sprint through the problems currently plaguing American society as told through the complementary narratives of El-P and Killer Mike, has managed to maintain its traction since its release due mostly to its unapologetic stance on the truth. In the wake of renewed racial tensions in America stemming from the pervasiveness of police brutality and a broken system hell-bent on blocking reform, RTJ2 became a multi-chaptered anthem for an entire generation.

Happy Birthday, RTJ2
