From 1980s disco-house to Eski-era grime, Love Ssega's influences run far and wide. A recent Cambridge University graduate, the Croydon-born singer was an original member of the chart-topping Clean Bandit (see: "Mozart's House"), but left to finish off his PhD in Laser Sensing — which, by his own admission, was a brave/dumb decision. Now, however, he's back to the music and is very much in it for the taking. Love Ssega's newest single, "Pray For Love" — produced by Leon Vynehall — is a catchy piece of pop, with a big nod to the New Wave scene of the mid-80s. It's clean, radio-friendly, and is part of his debut EP, Minds, which lands on December 4 through Hometown/Sony. Get your groove exclusively above.
