Premiere: Landings Flips Dub Pistols' "Killa Sound" Into A Deep Bass Banger

The rest of the EP features breakbeat, speedgarage and D&B. What could be better?

None

Following their triumphant Return Of The Pistoleros album this year, Barry Ashworth's Dub Pistols are back with Killa Sound, a brand new EP set for release October 30 via Sunday Best. The EP features a speed garage remix from Skapes, a couple of breakbeat remixes from San Diego's Wes Smith and D-Funk, and a D&B remix from ex-Prodigy member Leeroy Thornhill. One of our favourites from the package is this remix by Landings. Slowing the original right down, Landings takes things down an almost house route, albeit one with moody bass riffs and crunchy breakbeats. Peppered in there is just the slightest threat of a jungle break, but it's restrained and just adds to the dubby atmosphere. Take an exclusive listen below.

The Killa Sound Remixes EP will be released October 30 on Beatport and then November 13 on iTunes. Pre-order it here.
