Charles Hamilton Opens Up About His Past on New Single "Down the Line"

He raps about his depression, bi-polar disorder, and more.

Charles Hamilton kicked off his comeback earlier this year when he announced that he signed a new deal with Republic Records. Shortly after, he dropped a new single that gained him some buzz before he decided to go back into hiding for a few months.

That hiatus is over today as he drops his new single and video for "Down the Line," which features him opening up about his troubled past and how he deals with being bi-polar. Hamilton also unleashed some new info during his opening verse, when he revealed that he once recorded a diss song towards all of the artists who were on the XXL cover with him in 2009. Of course, he never released the track, and it seems like a safe bet that that will never come out. If you forgot, WaleKid CudiAsher RothB.o.BCurren$y, and more were all featured on that cover with Hamilton.

"This video represents me transitioning through the world seemingly alone, struggling to make sense of the pain and darkness I had frequently experienced," Hamilton said to Fader. "Down the Line" will be featured on Hamilton's upcoming project, The Black Box, which is due out later this year.
