Though the briefly anticipated rap battle between Yasiin Bey and Lupe Fiasco most certainly isn't happening, Fiasco still has plenty of outlets through which to unleash his largely unmatched mastery of the English language. After hinting at its release just two months ago, Lupe Fiasco has unveiled the conceptual companion piece to his Fahrenheit 1/15 mixtape series entitled Pharaoh Height 2/30:
The six-track project is entirely featureless, allowing for Fiasco to swerve in and out of a variety of styles with ease. When read chronologically, the song titles would appear to offer keen listeners a message or two, though the exact manifestation of that message remains to be seen. The tape also deviates from the original tracklist released during Fiasco's initial tease back in June, adding an additional track ("In") to its original five-track running time.
