If you're a SoundCloud lurker (like myself), chances are you've come across Tom Misch's chillaxing rhythms several times. In less than two years, the 20-year-old producer's penchant for snappy percussion, jazz chords, and breezy textures has led to an EP release on Soulection, an unexpected collaboration with Jaden Smith, and remix work for the likes of Lianne La Havas. But that's not even the half of it.

On Aug. 28, London lad Misch will release the follow-up to last year's Beat Tape 1 with Beat Tape 2—from which we're premiering "Nightgowns", one of its standout cuts. The track features the melancholic musings of Loyle Carner, and gives great insight into the how the rest of the set will flow. "'Nightgowns' started off as me vibing on the guitar," Tom explained over email, "then I invited Loyle over to the studio and we just jammed on the beat. He's a super-fast worker, as am I, so it all fell into place quite quickly."
