The N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton, is not only killing it at the box office, but it's also bringing newfound chart success and attention to the legendary group's music. According to the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart, N.W.A. just secured their first top-40 hit with "Straight Outta Compton" coming in at No. 38 this week. The high debut this week comes 27 years after the song was originally released, and is the first time it has appeared on the chart.

Their album of the same name also made a strong impression on the charts this week, securing the No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200 chart right behind Dr. Dre's new album, Compton. This is currently the highest the album has ever charted, and it's equally killing it on iTunes, as it sits on the No. 9 spot of the most popular albums. The film has been shattering all expectations since its release, and it's currently in the second week of sitting atop the box office.
