Two talented Londoners have linked up for the latest release on Astral Black, a five-track EP of ever inventive production from JD. Reid and tough but relatable rhymes from ItsNate. The project is UK-centric for sure, but should be enjoyed by any lover of hip-hop, whether or not they can understand all the slang.
On “WG1KLG,” Reid provides a hypnotic beat, mournful, disembodied vocals floating over crisp drums, while ItsNate explains where he’s from, and where he’s trying to go.
