Before they were in N.W.A, Dr. Dre and DJ Yella were in a group called the World Class Wreckin' Cru founded by Alonzo Williams. If you watched Straight Outta Compton, Alonzo was depicted as the owner of the club where Dre and Yella honed their DJing skills. Throughout the movie he's portrayed as a hater constantly pleading with them not to play gangsta rap at his spot. Williams sat down recently with DJ Vlad and shared some new information on N.W.A's early days.

According to him, Dre and Eazy were supposed to own Ruthless together, he told DJ Vlad, saying:

"Last time I checked, Dre and Eazy was supposed to have owned Ruthless together. Jerry was representing Eazy from a management standpoint. And then allegedly Jerry became the part owner."

He also talks about how it was Dre who bigged up Jerry Heller to Eazy at first because Jerry managed the World Class Wreckin' Cru. "As far as Dre was concerned, Jerry was a god," he exclaimed.

Watch the video for more, as Alonzo has a ton of stories about the influential group's humble beginnings.
