Last month, Taylor Swift stole the show at the 7th Annual Shorty Awards and she wasn’t even present.

Swift won best singer based on her unforgettable social media presence, and she recorded a video acceptance speech that sent waves across the Internet.

The country/pop singer is a well-known hip-hop fan, once rapping lyrics to Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat (Freestyle),” Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” So when she snapped into the hook of Young Buck’s “Shorty Wanna Ride” unexpectedly, it was pretty awesome.

Buck was honored about Swift’s impromptu performance of his Straight Outta Cashville hit, instantly showing love to her on Instagram and sharing that he wishes to work with her one day. The G-Unit rapper has actually been a fan of Swift since she told VIBE about driving by his house in Nashville and gushing over his cars with her boyfriend in high school. He felt humbled that Swift shouted him out.

“There are a lot of artists that may be in different genres of music that are fans of hip-hop that express it and some may not,” Buck tells Complex. “I think it is cool to see Taylor let the people know that, ‘Hey, I’m a fan of this music. There nothing wrong with being a fan of this music.’ It’s nothing wrong with me [saying], ‘Hey, I’m a fan of her music,’ and actually mean it.”

And if an opportunity ever presented itself to collaborate with Swift, Buck wouldn’t think twice. “It would be magic,” he says. “I would want to do a record with Taylor that would be basically a party record. I would want to have fun with Taylor. Wild out. She likes to kick it. I like to kick it. So, it would just be a record where it would come on and the whole world would just party one time. Soon as you hear it, you just drop everything and you just start partying right then and there.”

As two artists who were raised in Nashville, Buck says a country-rap collaboration would be a big look for their city. Nashville is obviously known for country stars, so to give fans a taste of both worlds would mean a lot.

“It would be gigantic for the city. It would probably be one of the biggest things that ever happened,” Buck says. “That would really make the statement for our city, Nashville, of ‘this is Music City, USA.’ You would have two different artists in two different genres of music that has this multiplatinum, big hit all over the world that nobody expected. That comes from right here, Music City, USA. And it would just show the world, this is where real music is. This is where it is birthed at. This is where it’s at right now!”

Are you ready to buck the world, Taylor?
