Remember when you set up those bomb playlists for your sick houseparties on Grooveshark? Well, those memories will have to remain just that--memories. The free music streaming service shut down on April 30 due to a major lawsuit settlement with the Big Three (Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group). They may end up paying around $736 million if all of the cited songs in the suit were deemed to be uploaded willfully as copyrighted content. Grooveshark's parent company, Escape Media, shut down the site, leaving a letter to its users in its place. In it, they state a broad apology and suggest other companies to use in its place.

Do you think TIDAL is celebrating or nah?
