Kelela will be releasing her long-awaited debut album in the fall, but to hold her fans over, she's going to drop a six-track EP in May titled Hallucinogen. Today, she releases the song and video combination for "A Message," which is the first drop from the upcoming EP. The memorizing Arca-produced song was crafted in 25 minutes during a three-day session between the two, but is also a collaboration that she tweaked over time with Boots, who assisted with both writing and production on the final version. "Since then, it's been like a sculpture that I've come to and refined over time, adding a lyric here, refining a melody there," Kelela revealed to Fader.
Along with the upcoming EP and eventual debut album, Kelela is set to embark on an European tour in May to support the projects. The full list of tour dates can be seen below.
