JackLNDN's Mix For Earmilk

Sultry R&B and snappy house music is the order of the day here. JackLNDN's approach is a flirtatious take on the current state of club music, with cheeky flourishes and fast blends keeping things light and brisk. Pretty much every track is a classic, from Drums Of Death and Odesza to Dom Dolla's "Love Like This" and a reflip of Sugarhill & Wasabi's "It's On You".

Samo Sound Boy's Mix For FACT

It's been a little while since Samo Sound Boy burst onto the scene with his rambunctious take on UK funky and house music. Since then, he's set up the Body High imprint with Jerome LOL and his sound has matured remarkably, something that's more than represented in this recent mix, featuring everything from Prince and Depeche Mode to Levon Vincent and Karizma. All this means that his upcoming album, Begging Please, could be yet another incredible album for 2015.

Lapalux's Mix For FADER

With his new Lustmore LP coming next month, we should have known Lapalux would be putting together some mixes to tease us. Keep an eye out for our interview with him dropping very soon.

Doc Daneeka's Mix For B.Traits

A bit of a snip at just over half an hour, this recent mix by Doc Daneeka, recorded for B.Traits, shows just how much can be done in such a short space of time. From the tribal percussion of the opener, Doc takes us on a voyage through undulating rhythms, euphoric melodies and chest-rattling bass. This should be your rallying cry to get your pals to down their drinks and hop into the taxi to the club.

Shlohmo's Mix For Mixmag

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: 2015 is going to be an insane year for albums. One such album is Dark Red, the new set from WEDIDIT's Shlohmo. This classic "from the vaults" was streamed live at the time and now it's been made available for streaming. It's a pretty representative taster for the LP, bringing in thuggish rap tunes alongside more laid-back shoegaze and IDM in a way only he can.

Rabit's Mix For Electronic Explorations

Rob Booth's Electronic Explorations is a pretty reliable beast. Sure, they like to throw the occasional curveball, but it's always a rewarding surprise. This mix from Rabit is relatively standard EE territory but the finely-tuned flourishes and interludes he throws in make it more than just a collection of club tracks.

Cooly G's 'Tatey Baby' Mix

Cooly G's been teasing this one for a little while across social media, with varying numbers of fire emojis, and now it's finally here. Apparently, she wasn't kidding with those fire emojis either. Her time in LA seems to have imbued in her a love of slower jams, which she effortlessly applies to her own selection of house and techno, all the while retaining that unmistakably British sound.

Marcus Intalex's '21 Years – Chapter 2' Mix

Marcus Intalex, or Trevino as he was once known, is a true legend in electronic music. Having cemented his status as such in the world of D&B, he dropped the Trevino moniker and moved into techno, starting from scratch and yet winning the same levels of respect all over again. In the second edition of the series, Marcus takes us through the past 21 years of electronic music and rave culture including classics from Carl Craig, A Guy Called Gerald, Rebel MC, Reel 2 Reel and Bizarre Inc., all in time for the release of his debut album, 21. Need we say more?

J Beatz's 'Past, Present & Future' Mix

J Beatz might not pop-up in the "intellectual" instru grime conversation much, but he's definitely been putting the work in. Don't sleep on the kid: take in his Past, Present & Future mix, featuring 42 of his own productions, down below.

Drums Of Death's 'Rhythms Of Life Vol. 1' Mix

It seems Drums Of Death fans are getting rather impatient for the next release because he's felt the need to appease them by launching a new series of monthly mixes. We're not complaining, mind you, as the series will include unreleased DoD productions and remixes alongside some of the latest and greatest house and techno from around the world. Here's the first volume. Enjoy!

Kirk Knight's "Untitled" Mix For Hypetrak

It's not Friday without some over-the-top, rowdy hip-hop coming through your speakers. Pro Era's Kirk Knight give us that heat for you to shout along to, throw gun fingers and pretend you're not a middle class office worker who has work on Monday.

Jackmaster B2B Jasper James 'Live From Mitchell Street' Mix

After a recent visit to Boiler Room Glasgow, Jackmaster and Jasper James decided to play a pounding two-hour set at a house party in Mitchell Street. Jackmaster himself had this to say:

"Me and Jasper had a wee (big) soiree at our gaff after the Numbers Boiler Room the other week and hit the record button whilst we were playing some tunes for a couple of hours. We do this quite a lot when we're inebriated and never end up sharing the results, but we liked this one. It's comes close to resembling a smooth house and techno builder until I get carried away with the last tune, which is kinda distorted. That's half down to the original Bill Withers recording and half down to the fact that by this time in the morning we were pretty far gone, the volume was up at 11 and we were dancing about the joint ready to go to the pub again. A liberal use of the high pass filter also reflects this."
