In a post that will surely give the naysayers of hip-hop's current generation some much needed fuel, Martin Connor of Rap Analysis has revealed an index (or an "average") that detects which rappers are the most repetitive. Digging through a who's who of the current most popular artists in rap, including Kid Cudi, Future, Tyga and Kanye West, the study measures how the above rappers reuse the same diction in this algorithm. The analyst used popular lyrics websites to find the lyrics and songs to use, while using Excel to create the visualization. The surprising findings are below:

As you can see, Will.I.Am. and Pitbull ruled the roost with a dizzyingly high number of repeated words in a few songs, which probably speaks more to the respective audiences that consume their catchy pop music than any lack of skill. In a result that is even more surprising, Gucci Mane, Trinidad James and French Montana are far below artists like Nicki Minaj. We're sure no one is surprised at how high Lil Jon is though. To prove that he's one of the realest data analysts in the game, Connor also went to Reddit to confirm that the Migos actually weren't that repetitive – they posted a score of .192. Take that, Beatles fans.
