Former Das Racist rapper Heems is preparing to release his first solo LP, Eat Pray Thug, next month. It follows his two well-received 2012 mixtapes, Nehru Jackets and Wild Water Kingdom.

One of the tracks to appear on the LP is “Home,” a personal break-up tune created with Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes. Over light drums and a mellow guitar, Heems and Hynes trade back and forth stories about a relationship that has gone sour. Hyne's low voice carries a lot of emotion, while Heems' lyrics give us a glimpse of what he's going through: "You addicted to the H-Man, I'm addicted to the H, man."

"When Dev was Lightspeed Champion he had a little-known rap Myspace called 'N***a Bullshit,'" Heems says of their relationship to Rolling Stone. “This was when we first started talking about a collaboration." He explains how the song came about: “I wrote some of the lyrics in college at Wesleyan, some before Das Racist in Bushwick and most of it in my engineer Daniel Lynas' old studio with Dev in Dumbo."

Hear “Home” below, and look for Eat Pray Thug to release on Mar. 10.
