The 2015 Grammy Awards Were the Least Watched Since 2009

However, streaming has gone up.

The ratings are in for the 2015 Grammy Awards, and they've dropped from last year. Last night's show brought in 25.3 million viewers, an 11 percent decrease from 2014 and the lowest figure since 2009. Live streaming, however, rose 40 percent from last year with nearly 7.5 million streams. 

Despite the ratings dip, Nielson still pegged the Grammys as the biggest 2014/2015 social event in entertainment with more than 13.4 million tweets. Kanye West had the biggest share of those tweets, beating out Sam Smith and Beyonce as the most tweeted-about artist.
