The long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic is finally getting off the ground, according to a recent interview with one of the film's producers, Randall Emmett. Emmett was candid about the production status of the film, revealing a start date for the crew and also opening up about what will actually be in the movie.

It has also been confirmed that the studio has rights to use Pac's music in the film, a result of getting the rapper's mother, Afeni Shakur, on board with the project. She was previously involved in a legal dispute over the rights to her son's story, but thankfully, that all got resolved and it looks like one of the greatest rappers ever will get a film worthy of his legacy. Hopefully, it will be a better endeavor than the ill-fated Broadway musical
