Every once in a while, we get the urge to post a rap record, and while it might seems ridiculous to highlight records that are completely outside of the box to dance music fans, both of these emcees will become increasingly relevant to the audience, and this collaborative release is nuts. Rome Fortune already has a string of solid records with Stooki Sound, Heroes x Villains, Brenmar, and FKi, and OG Maco's "U Guessed It" is still getting remixed heavily, even months after its release. Both of them will be on Heroes x Villains forthcoming EP on Ultra, and both emcees are doing everything right in their effort to bridge gaps between markets without selling out.
Their collaborative Yep EP is nothing more than a rap banger from two rising stars, and though this project has been ripped at every bitrate except the standard 320kbps, the project is nuts. This features production from TM88, Chidish Major, SuicideYear and others, and though it's an amazing stand-alone project, this is a remixers dream if acapellas shake loose. We're going to poke and see if we can get our hands on a 320 version of this, but feel free to bump and enjoy one of our favorites off of the project, "Pay Rent," which was made by Philadelphia-based Ben Pramuk.
