Musician, gay rights saviour, and economical clothes shopper Macklemore may well have just peaked professionally with this guest appearance on eternally lovable kids' show Sesame Street, where he performed a parody of his hit "Thrift Shop" with Oscar and the Grouches.
In the video, Oscar and friends elaborate on their love of all things trash, exclaiming that it is both "gross and awesome" and (later) "grouchy awesome" rather than the original version's decidedly less kid-friendly refrain of "fucking awesome."
Fittingly, the official video lists the song's performers as 'Oscar ft. Macklemore' rather than the other way round, so it looks like even Macklemore has the good sense to defer to the demands of his furry co-stars here.
