Funkmaster Flex Announces There May Be a New Diplomats Mixtape On the Way

Starting off the new year with a bang, Funkmaster Flex went to Instagram today to confirm that he's working with The Diplomats on what appears to be a new mixtape. He says he talked to the original trio of Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, and that they have "put the bullshit aside" and are hard at work on a new project. Additionally, he detailed a "Dipset Takeover" plan, which starts Monday at 7 p.m. when the group will take over Hot97 for five hours. After five club performances throughout New York, the mixtape will reportedly be released. Jim Jones seems to have co-signed the announcement on Instagram, as well.

There isn't much else known about the project except that it will also be hosted by DJ Mustard, DJ Khaled and Swizz Beats.  The Diplomats have tried to reunite unsuccessfully a few times in the past few years, without a solid project being put out. With Flex's promotion and radio pull behind the project this time, fans may very well see a legitimate return of the fan favorite Harlem group. Check out the post below:
