Earlier this week, Chance The Rapper, his brother Taylor Bennett, Sway, and various other members of the Chicago community helped raise $100,000 for the Get Schooled program. Chance and company presented the check at an event for the foundation that helped six elementary schools in Chicago receive new technology equipment to help enhance the computer labs, WiFi internet access, and digital learning.

The Get Schooled program was originally launched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Viacom, and has already helped connect 22,000 Chicago households with internet since its inception. "The city is focused on helping students prepare for college, and The Get Schooled, Get Connected Challenge did just that," said Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel during the event. Chance continues to do his part to help the community, and if you remember, he was honored with the "Outstanding Youth of the Year" award by the city of Chicago last year.
