Not entirely a newcomer on the scene, Mike Shy is one of the names tipped to do big things in the British urban arena next year. Despite dealing with cholesteatoma, a condition rendering him deaf in one ear, Shy has been putting the finishing touches to his sound for several years as one half of The Shy Project (alongside rapper George Busumbru) and reaching the alternative/funk zone he now occupies.
Now signals the time for Shy to step forward with solo material in the form of "Graveyard Shift"; a perfect vehicle for his silky tones, the beat's toe-tapping funk grooves lift up his reflections on trials and tribulations in the big LDN.
