Lupe Fiasco's "Deliver" now has a visual after dropping last month. The Tetsuo & Youth single carried an impactful message on its own, but its obvious imagery is fully realized in the music video above. Directed by Alex Nazari, the "Deliver" video is straight-forward, but dramatically and purposefully done.
As Lupe raps about how different inner-city Chicago neighborhoods are too dangerous for the simple pizza delivery guy to feel comfortable going into, a small boy from the hood is sent to execute a workaround: Just get the delivery dude to bring the pizza to the suburbs, and meet him in front of one of the houses. Watch till the end to see the absurdity of the eventual pizza delivery scene—it's a simple exchange of pizza for money, but one that's strange to take in.
