Last October, we celebrated Chase & Status' Brand New Machine release with a week full of Chase & Status features, including one looking at their MTA Records roster. One year later, and Chase & Status is celebrating MTA's five-year anniversary with MTA 5, a compilation that celebrates the best of this imprint, which has sold five million singles and 360,000 albums worldwide... truly making the imprint "more than alot."
While MTA 5 features a number of huge releases, including Nero's "Promises," Moody Good's "Musicbx," "Sloe Gin" by Dream Mclean, and Knife Party's remix of "Crush On You" by Nero, the project also includes five exclusive tracks, including the two bonus cuts from Moody Good's album and a VIP of Torqux's Lady Leshurr-featured "Blazin," which received support from the likes of Annie Mac, Diplo, and others. Lady Leshurr's vocals stay in tact, but the duo went back in on the beat, revamping the original with a deeper groove in the bassline. Fans of the original will definitely fall in love with this new take.
