Rising UK garage star A.Motion, whose productions have sent the likes of Flava D into a spin, is gearing up to release his new Chills EP later this month. Ahead of the release, he's letting you stream the whole EP here at Complex UK. The original version of "Chills" is a bass-driven UK garage number, with hollow percussive sounds that sound as if someone had made a drum-kit out of milk bottles. All the classic UKG synths, drums, and keys are present and correct, with a sweet 'n' sexy vocal line intermittently cutting through.
The breakdown, however, pays homage more to mid-90s piano house than UKG, bridging the gap between garage's NY house origins and its London progeny. This breakdown and its keys are brought to the fore on Moony's remix, before he backs it up with an even harder-hitting bass lick, further ramping up the tempo.
