Pras ft. Mya and Ol Dirty Bastard - "Ghetto Superstar (Goshfather & Jinco x Sasha Grey Remix)"

You know what's outstanding? When a remixed classic does what you were hoping for and doesn't butcher the original. In fact, in an M. Night Shyamalan-esque twist that could only come from Goshfather & Jinco teaming up with Sasha Grey, this track actually has a little bit for everyone. Interestingly enough, even though both parties bring a festival electro vibe to the table, it's the distinctly deep house kick that made me want to share this song.

Find a better remix with a longer title today... I dare you.

What other forces are at work, you might ask? I'm not sure, but the infiltration of sugary synths accompanied by traditionally deep drops is not something that has been, shall we say, scarce, in the interwebs these days. It's cool to see the intersection, but (at the risk of sounding off the hipster siren) you can't help but feeling like something got lost in translation.

Try as I might though, it's hard to resist this bass-coated remix. I'm assuming you can also expect to see a lot more from Sasha Grey in the coming months as she slides tunes like this out to her three million plus network of adoring fans. Call me for the Sasha / Jessie Andrews battle.
