Listen to Joker's "Midnight"

Joker returns with the first track from his new album.

Joker's first album, The Vision, should have been one of the greatest albums of its time but for whatever reason, it failed to quite hit the mark. Worry not, because if new track "Midnight" is anything to go by then his recently announced LP, The Mainframe, will more than make up for it. There's no escaping the fact that Joker has a lot to prove this time round but, with an emotive vocal hook, powerful synth stabs and a sturdy bass line all perfectly aligned, he may just have delivered the track we need. Not only can the "purple" sound still be heard here, but the stop-start glitch on the vocals (sampled from JLO's "Waiting For Tonight") is a particularly nice touch. Listen to "Midnight" before it's released on December 8 through Joker's own Kapsize imprint. The Mainframe is due out on February 16, 2015, also on Kapsize.
