Inspired by his recent role as Nelson Mandela in Long Walk To Freedom, talented actor and major music-lover Idris Elba has curated, written, and produced mi Mandela—his tribute to and celebration of South African music inspired by Nelson Mandela, featuring the likes of James Blake, George The Poet, and more. The first single taken from the album, out on November 24, is "You Give Me Love"—a bluesy, heartfelt and thankful address with the ever soulful Maverick Sabre on hand to take us to church.

Having fallen deeply in love with the musical rhythms and styles of South Africa, Elba revealed: "South Africa has numerous different tribes and each one has a musical expression, and each one has a very unique, different sound style.  At the time I had my studio at the apartment, I was staying in while I was making Mandela—a little keyboard, a laptop—and as an experiment to myself, I vowed to keep making music."
