Eli Roth's Disturbing Lana Del Rey Rape Scene Has Leaked Online (Despite Being 'Locked in a Vault')

Eli Roth, Marilyn Manson, and Lana Del Rey somehow end up in a video together, one that all three would probably rather not exist right now.

During a 2013 interview with Larry King, horror director Eli Roth referred to something he filmed with Marilyn Manson and Lana Del Rey that was so sick and twisted, it was "locked in a vault," as Roth told Larry King. Now we know what it is: A slow-motion capture scene of the director acting out a sexual assault on Lana Del Rey.

The video that got posted to YouTube was first found by Brazilian MTV blog Teco Apple, and ran with the title card Sturmgruppe, the name of an L.A.-based visual motion effects company. Looks like they're in trouble, because like the video—which was taken off of YouTube and Vimeo—the website for Sturmgruppe is down as well (you can view that site using Google Cache, of course). Previously, Eli Roth told Larry King in a 2013 interview:

"I shot a video with Marilyn Manson and Lana Del Rey. The footage is so sick its been locked in a vault for over a year."

The clip is full of dark, gothic, high-speed motion capture scenes. Much of what was in the video already made its way onto two Marilyn Manson videos, one for Manson's song "Slo-Mo-Tion," and the other for "No Reflection," neither of which were directed by Eli Roth.

Marilyn Manson's camp has also made a point to distance themselves from the footage, explaining in a statement to Pitchfork: "Manson did not direct this, shoot it, nor was it for a Marilyn Manson video or outtake footage made by him or to be used by him with his music."

Lana Del Rey, who was once rumored to have dated Manson, previously appeared in Complex's August/September 2014 cover story, Against The Grain. Aside from that, there's a lot of strangeness involved with this clip and how it came together that's still not entirely clear. For example: What was Marilyn Manson's role in any of this? Is the only connecting thread to all three clips the motion graphics company? Why did it leak out? And what, ultimately, was Eli Roth planning to do with this footage?

Whatever the case may be, one thing's clear: The video—which is disturbing, and still online here if you feel like watching it—probably has somebody in deep, deep trouble.
