After the Aphex Swift mash-up project, I was sure that all things Aphex would die down for a bit... leave it up to a new interview with Aphex Twin on noyzelab and this random SoundCloud account to further confuse and delight long-time AFX fans.

Back in September, Aphex Twin told Rolling Stone about music that one of his sons has been making. With Aphex, it can be hard to tell if he's being on the level or not, but the emergence of this SoundCloud page, containing four tracks that are said to have been produced by "afx's son" has us wondering where all of this is heading. The tracks range from 20 seconds to two minutes; have a listen:

Aphex also had some words to say about his son's music:

He is so advanced mainly because he is trying to keep up with his 8yr old bro who is also going way deep into computers already, dunno where they get it from, its really exciting to see them start so young.

I love music by people who dont know wtf they are doing…its the best…why i liked certain periods of jungle so much before they learned how to use machines properly.

Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy music made by wise people but I think your more likely to learn something ’new’ by someone who doesnt know anything as opposed to someone who has been doing it their whole life.

This Aphex Twin SoundCloud page is also hosting some Aphex Twin material, including an early mixes and alternate takes of "fenix funk" and "Avril 14th," among recordings of phone calls and radio shows referencing Aphex or Richard D James. It's interesting, and a bit mysterious, and a lot of the material is available for download, so have at it.
