Years & Years return today with another single from their Take Shelter EP titled "Desire". Following the hugely successful "Real", thius song sees the three-piece at their most anthemic, with a bold, memorable chorus around which the track is structured. Pure, unabashed pop music, at its heart is a choppy piano riff with plenty of bounce and a big, bold chorus that betray the band's love of '90s dance-pop. And it's certainly the band's most chart-friendly effort.

Frontman, Alexander, explains: "We started writing the chorus first, which isn't usually how we write, as 'desire' became the hook and statement. The track reminded us of those big, '90s house tunes, which we took a lot of inspiration from, including Chicago house, so we wanted to keep that same energy and pace throughout."

The Chicago house influence is a little harder to hear, but it's still an incredibly fun piece of pop. Listen to "Desire", after the jump.
