The 2014 Treasure Island Music Festival showcased a ton of artists and performers in San Francisco's second most famous island in the Bay.
Alongside the entertainment on the main stages, there were a group of people plugged into high-end headphones mutely dancing with one another. Enter SilentFrisco an organization devoted to "using cutting edge technology to enable artistic, political and educational expression in locations where “noise” has previously made such action impractical or illegal."
It was eerie to watch a dance floor full of people silently moving to an inaudible soundtrack, but SilentFrisco was a huge draw during the festival and we stopped through to see what they were all about.
