Rabit & Riko Get Dark On "Black Dragons"

From Texas to London.

None

Apparently we were all in need of a new grime anthem du jour because London's Riko Dan and Texas' Rabit have just knocked it out the park with their new track, "Black Dragons". Not since the early days of the genre spent in council flats and dingy raves has grime sounded so visceral. Acidic dub squelches, searing mid-range stabs and sparse percussion form the basis of Rabit's "Black Dragons" beat that lends itself to this track.

Taken from last year's Double Dragon EP, it was a surprise smash that was just itching to have an MC work his magic over the top. And who better than former Roll Deep don, Riko Dan? His own gruff, sinister sound, coupled with the brutality of the production, perfectly means this is perfectly suited to both the club and the headphone, somehow managing to be atmospheric and banging all at once. "Black Dragons" will be released on October 6 via Glacial Sound.
