Beautiful 8-bit arpeggios aren't the typical fare for such driving hip-hop but, here, it completely works. London producer Woodgrain, with the lyrical aid of Knytro and Gino, shows off an innate understanding of video game soundtracks as well as being phenomenally articulate and verbally dextrous. This remix of "Ghost In The Shell" should appeal to gamers, anime fans, hip-hop heads and those who love to just nerd out over production. Crucially, this comes from a place of love rather than yet another artist trying to get props or to appeal to certain "markets". No, this is a celebration of misspent youth and the fond memories it has.
