Album lead ups are always great. Whether it’s a real frenzy like before last year’s Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories or cryptic promotion like Skrillex’s Recess, the varying promotional strategies and roll-out are a big part of what makes albums (and releases in general) make a ripple. Gorgon City has been unloading single after single as we wait for Sirens and today they let loose a remix of Jessie Ware’s “Say You Love Me” to keep the jams coming. The remix is a chilling take on an already sensual song. The track really gets going with a low-rolling bassline and a tech house rhythm to take you on a journey through an expansive and cavernous soundscape of Jessie Ware’s sultry sound. At this point I'm hoping we get more of these freemixes as we wait and that GC and Jessie Ware hook up in the studio.
