Dr. Dre's long-awaited studio album, Detox, has gained notoriety in recent years for never actually being released. And it looks like we're no closer after years of waiting either.
Aftermath producer, Dawaun Parker, spilled the details in an interview on the Shots Fired podcast by saying Dre actually scrapped the Detox title a couple of years ago, and when asked what the title of it could be, he said: "I won’t say what the title is ’cause I haven’t seen that online or anything yet."
Kendrick Lamar also kept fairly schtum when asked about the mythical project earlier this year: "I couldn't give you that word. He'll have to give you that word, but I know that he's still a creative genius in there". And with K-Dot's next body of work out soon, we may be waiting a lot longer yet, until we close this chapter of hip-hop folklore.
