With Aphex Twin's forthcoming album Syro set to be released on September 23, we know you androids want to know what it'll look like. For those who were intrigued by the interesting tracklisting/laundry list of album costs seemingly printed right on the cover of the album, know that that is in fact what's printed right on the cover of the album.

Creative Review reports that Aphex Twin collaborated with The Designers Republic on this packaging (who also worked on "Windowlicker" and "Come to Daddy"), and depending on the vinyl or CD version, costs on the laundry list could be different. That list was one of Aphex Twin's early ideas regarding what the album would look like, and TDR worked with Warp " to stretch out this mantra that tells the reader everything and nothing about the creation of what I hear was an intensely personal album in the making reduced to the numbers of an album in the marketplace." It's a dope look at the idea of value, which turns Syro into something more than a collection of Aphex tracks or "his latest album in 13 years." Love the thought behind this.

Another one of Aphex Twin's ideas was "pressing the album or a single track into the fabric of the cover, effectively as a deboss." Word is that the limited edition vinyl boxset (which is limited to 200 copies, costs $400, and can only be obtained by entering a ballot that will determine who can purchase it) will have this debossed track.
