Atlanta's Wara From the NBHD is having a great month. After seeing a top 15 placement on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart for his single "Raw," he's now releasing his full album Kidnapped today. The 11-track concept project is all based around the life of a young hustler, "Piano Lessons," which is also the name of the second track on the project. Additionally, he has presented it with a gallery of artwork available at kidnapped.us, where specific images are attached to an individual song.

"'Piano Lessons' is the main character of the story I like to call Kidnapped," Wara said over email. "He's the definition/vision of what I personally know a lot of young black men go through coming up in America, or in general all over the world. He's a young teenager who’s still trying to figure the world out and the only world he knows is his neighborhood. He’s very vulnerable and easy to convince to do things he shouldn't be doing, as are most young teenagers. But on the other hand he is very talented on the piano and in music, which is represented through the production on the album, and that's where he gets his nickname from."

If you're unfamiliar with the up-and-coming artist, let this be your introduction, and keep an eye on him this year. Aside from a feature from GrandeMarshall and Two-9, Wara produced and wrote the entire album on his own. If the piano breakdowns and gloomy production are any indication of how soulful Wara gets with his music, we can't wait to see more of him in time. He'll be opening for the Hieroglyphics East Coast Tour stop at Brooklyn Bowl this Thursday.
