Talk about an epic French powerhouse of a combo right here. Modern rock superstars Phoenix, who have had a who's who list of remixers jump on for flips from their last album, have enlisted the one and only Gesaffelstein to wrap up this incredible run of remixes. He takes on the title track from their LP and does his haunting electro-tinged slow-mo headfuck thing that he's become so notorious for. This is so moody and well thought out it's almost silly with its multiple movements and slick drenching of vocals from the original tune. I'll claim some ignorance here as I haven't heard all the remixes in the series, but this has to be one of the standouts of the bunch. The added addition of the free download certainly doesn't hurt things either.
