North London’s Black The Ripper has been one of the more consistent MCs to emerge from our shores and, last night, he released the video for “Cradle To The Grave”, which is yet another offering from the long-awaited mixtape, Outlaw Vol. 2 (out August 29). “Revolution rap” and “positive poetry” are some of the titles used over the years to brand the music of Black The Ripper, and the same certainly applies today with this new joint.

After featured rapper Prince Paslow handles first verse duties, BTR—a long-time promoter of the independent music grind—defiantly boasts, “I will never sell my soul for a wage/From the pavements to the stag/From the cradle to the grave…”

Actions speak louder than words. But in the case of this Edmonton vet, he’s strongly backed up by both. Watch the warehouse-dwelling video for “Cradle To The Grave”, up top.
