Two years ago, Calvin Harris called upon Diplo and Grandtheft to flip his 18 Months standout "Sweet Nothing," and out now is the next rework of a single of Calvin's from Diplo & Grandtheft. Truth be told, the original "Summer" never worked for me. I think it has something to do with the sound of dude's vocal. Nothing against it; it's me, not the vocal (possibly). That's the reason we have remixes though, right? Diplo and Grandtheft churned out a bass-fueled beast with this one. Yes, that vocal is still in tact, and it still kind of grates on me, but I like when it's relegated to "in the summer" over that booming beat. They even snuck some Jersey club-ish bed squeaks, which turns into a full-on club workout during the second half of the tune. This remix is out now via iTunes, so get your (official) summer on.
