When not gleefully taking a bemused shot at his own fast-rising super-stardom in mockumentary form, Bristol, UK-based house producer Eats Everything is re-creating heavyweight dance cuts in a manner deserving our respect and appreciation. A veteran DJ prior to moving into the production realm in 2010, the DJ-turned-producer remixing iconic early '90s house cut "Jungle Line" by Carl Giammarese and Mystic Bill makes sense, as it's stood the test of time as a hallmark moment in the UK's house music movement.
Released digitally on July 7 for Luke Solomon's Classic Music Company label, the 33-year old star born Daniel Pearce turns what once was a minimal, yet funky tribal breakdown into a track bearing a dubby, reinforced bassline with a more frenetic, break-driven impulse. Taking a classic and morphing it into something more in line with what he's playing in live sets, this is another quality production meeting a now well-established standard.
