Wes Fif dropped a new eight track EP this Monday. Wes Fif is best known for his feature on the first version of B.o.B.’s "Haterz Everywhere" back in 2007. "Haterz" introduced rave-rap to the world and then all of Florida decided it was a brilliant idea to rap over trance synths no matter what. Unfortunately for Wes Fif, Atlantic swapped out his verse for a Rich Boy one for the major label version of the song and video.

Wes Fif has stayed active, though, doing tracks with the likes of Big K.R.I.T., Cousin Fik, Tum Tum, and Big Tuck. He hasn’t had a big push, but hopefully this EP is a sign of things to come. "Live This Life" is the slumper on this project. It features fellow Orlando rapper, Ill Essense. The biggest shit is really the screwed hook and those slow, drawn-out bass notes. That soul clap gets tossed in there to keep it from being too syrupy. The EP is fairly diverse overall, he’s got some soft R&B joints and a faster bass track that features Uncle Head of the almighty Splack Pack. But then he also has some cloud rap-type shit that walks a fine rave-rap line to the point that it feels like it’s gonna go that way at any second, until a “Yeah Hoe” gets dropped to reel it back.
