In a new interview with The A.V. Club, Cole Alexander, the lead guitarist of The Black Lips, dissed Drake saying, "He seems kind of fake to me."

The interview was apart of the A.V. Club's ongoing series called HateSong where they ask celebrities to "expound on the one song they hate most in the world." Although Alexander took the time to also diss Lorde (naming "Royals" the song he hates and calling her "mediocre") and Macklemore (criticising his use of the word "honky"), he had a special ire for Drake.

However, it's not just that he doesn't like Drake, it's the language he used.

"I like my rappers more ghetto and ratchet sounding," said Alexander. "Personally, I like more melodramatic, ignorant rap where they’re talking about violence and anger and it’s just evil. "

He went on to say he doesn't like rap "when it’s too smart."

So in other words, Alexander only likes a predominantly African-American art form when the artists sound "ghetto," "ratchet," and "violent" and not, you know, "smart." Okay, Cole, thanks for clearing that up.
